About Andrew Pegram

I am an artist living and working in North London. I was taught at Highgate School by
Kyffin Williams and by Anthony Green. I have a background in Interior Design
and my consequent interest in buildings, interiors and the built environment has
influenced much of my art. This almost always concerns urban subjects.
I have published a book on Urban Dereliction “Divine Decline” available at
http://www.blurb.co.uk/b/2088746-divine-decline
and another on the making of the film “Salome.”

I am a printmaker/photographer. In Screen-Printing, I acknowledge inspiration taken from
the work of Patrick Caulfield and Gerd Winner. My work includes complex screen prints
of architectural subjects using a new personal technique, involving up to twelve layers.
In Photography, my work includes a number of series regarding architectural elements
of townscape such as Window, Façade, Doorway, Tower and so on. I have also
regularly taught Street Photography for various organisations.

I exhibit regularly and have had about 50 exhibitions in the last three years. I have
worked for Camden Arts Centre and am a member of East London Printmakers and
alumnus of the Sir John Cass Department of Art & Design where I had Associate status.
I have taught art in schools and to small institutions. During 2012 I was artist in
Residence for Westminster Mind in Soho, London, a project concerned with
Mental Health. I exhibited and ran teaching sessions for them.
Further works are held in private collections in
London, Paris, Dublin, Boston, New York, San Francisco, and elsewhere
in the USA and France, Italy, Spain, Stockholm, Moscow and the UK.

The framed prints shown on this Blog are available for sale. A3 sized Prints shown here
cost £120 each framed. They are from the series “New Drawings.”
which now has nearly 200 subjects.

I am also happy to take commissions for Prints and House-Portraits.
